Packing for the Trip

As each day goes by, Little Miss CB is showing more attributes of her mother.  Today was a perfect example.  One of her favorite activites is driving her Barbie jeep around the house and terrorizing the chihuahuas.

One of her favorite drives, is across the play room and back.  Now keep in mind, the trip across the play room is a whopping 15 feet! You can’t expect a girl to make that trip without packing.

CB started scanning the room for what she might need for the trip, and I thought it was cute…at first.  Then, that is when I saw Al’s genes kicking in.  CB couldn’t put a doll and maybe something else in for the trip.  Nope!!! She needed everything she could possibly get.

Now you might think I’m stretching this story a bit, but you’ll see that the above was only the beginning.

I’m not kidding this girl packs just like Mommy…

One last check under the hood, and she’s ready to go.
Only problem, she started to get a little upset when she found out there was no place left to sit.  Now she knows how Daddy felt when taking the U-Haul from Houston to Longview.

Strong Willed Child

My parents always seem to love any “complaints” I have regarding CB and her incredibly stubborn nature.  They think that it is something of a payback.

Thought you might enjoy this latest episode of CB and Daddy butting heads.

CB loves to spin around in circles in the den.  Problem is, we have tile floor and she spins so fast, she gets dizzy, falls down and winds up crying.  Last night she was spinning like a top, and I told her to stop, which of course, she ignored.

I grabbed her arm and spoke directly into her face, informing her, “If you spin one more circle, you are in big trouble! Do you understand me? One more circle!”

CB casually stepped back, smiled at me, then proceeded to turn slowly to the right about 3/4 of the way around, stopping just before one complete circle.  She then did the same maneuver turning to the left, again stopping just short of a circle.

I will have to admit – I could not stop laughing.

Al informed me that CB obviously understood me as she did not spin ONE MORE CIRCLE, she just spun 3/4 of a circle.  I’ll agree she was right, but as Hank Hill said, “That girl is playin’ lawyer ball!”

The Big 3-2

THE BIG 32!!!!!

I know the big three-oh can be dramatic on a gal, so being the sensitive guy I am – I assured her we could just jump straight to 32 and skip the drama.

As many of you know Jefferson, Texas is one of our favorite places.  If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend it.

With CB taking care of Nana and Papa for the evening, I was free to celebrate with my beautiful bride.

Lamache’s is one of our personal favorites.  It is a beautiful Italian restaraunt owned by a Sicilian family.  It’s located in the lobby of the Hotel Jefferson and the food is absolutely amazing!!!

32 and still looking good.  I am truly a lucky man

A Diva is Born

CB had her fashion shoot to get ready for (2 year old pics) So that meant a trip to the stylist for her first do!!!

Mommy and stylist to the stars discuss highlight options.

As you can see below , CB is going to have the same problem as her Daddy – How to
deal with all that thick, curly hair!!

The Tradition Continues

25 and Counting…

As many of you know, my dad and I have quite a streak going.  When I was 5 years old I played in my first Father and Son golf tournament with my dad.  I turned 30 this year, and my Dad and I still haven’t missed one yet.

This year, I had a little help.

Fortunately, she takes after her Pa-Pa.  She’s already got quite the short game…
